Freetown Fire Department Announces Promotions and Member Achievements 

Several members were recognized during a department ceremony this past Tuesday for their recent promotions and achievements. 

Promotions: 

Lieutenant Nicholas Lecuyer
Lieutenant Lecuyer was appointed to the call department on October 1st, 2005. Nick attended our in house FF 1&2 program and is certified to that level. He completed EMT and Paramedic training as a call firefighter and was promoted to full time status on March 7th, 2009. Nick has been promoted to Lieutenant effective July 1st, 2024. 

Firefighter/EMT Jesse Lamy
Firefighter Lamy was appointed to the fire department on November 15th, 2021 where he quickly rose to be one of the most active members responding to Station 1. He attended the MFA Call Volunteer program in the spring of 2023 where he obtained his FF 1&2 and hazmat operational certifications. He attended and successfully passed EMT school last year and is now enrolled in Paramedic school. Jesse has been promoted to career status effective July 1st, 2024. 

Achievements: 

FF Robert Macomber and FF David Gates recently completed the 240 hour MFA Call/Vol program and obtained their FF 1&2 certification. They  are both currently enrolled in an EMT program and look forward to a future with the department. 

Firefighter/Paramedic James Gonneville completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Fire Administration and Firefighter/Paramedic Samantha Cardin completed her Associate of Science in Fire Science.
