After 3 years and 5 months of anticipation, the wait is finally over—our new Engine 2 has arrived!
This week, crews have been busy swapping hoses, organizing equipment, and ensuring everything is in place. Engine 2 is essentially a twin to Engine 1, allowing for a standardized setup in terms of function and equipment placement.
Additionally, it was designed to fit within Station 1’s arched doorways, ensuring it can step in seamlessly whenever Engine 1 is out for maintenance or repairs. Meanwhile, the former Engine 2 will now serve in a reserve role as Engine 4.
